Background of the Study

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are a vital part of the economy in Funtua LGA, contributing to job creation, economic growth, and poverty reduction. However, SMEs often face challenges in managing their financial resources effectively, which can affect their profitability and sustainability. Budgetary controls are essential tools for ensuring that financial resources are allocated appropriately and that spending aligns with the business’s financial goals. Statement of the Problem
